self defense tactics

One of the worst areas of training in the world of martial arts and self defense, is that involving the use and protection against firearms. It has been my experience that most self-defense techniques taught are not realistic, dangerous, and devoid of any sense of big picture strategy that could jeopardize counsel further. To develop a sense of mastery in the use of firearms for self defense, make sure you are training in the four areas of critical skills you may need in the real world.
Let me ask you a question. In fact, I'll make a series of questions. And, as I speak of firearms training in this article, I suggest you take these issues seriously in all areas of your self defense training. My questions are simple, but very important for the development of skills and expertise. If ever attacked …
1) How will you be attacked?
2) Where will you be?
3) You want to be armed or unarmed?
4) If you are armed, so if you can not get his gun before he has her from you?
You see you an employer?
You do not know the answers to these questions until you are face to face with her attacker. But, you know that any of these things is a possibility that you may have to handle, you should ensure that their training is included each.
With this in mind, we can see that there are four general areas training should be a part of a strong and effective curriculum for training weapons. They are:
Weapons Familiarization 1). This area includes a suitable handle, fast and efficient cargo (under fire!), instinct shooting (no view), and more. Moreover, knowing how to operate more than just weapon favorite of his own is essential. You may find the gun at her attacker during the course of an attack and need to know whether or not security is realized or not, how to check for see if the gun is loaded, and more.
Shooting Skills 2). This is where most people focus on training. But if you do not being trained to shoot – and consistently on target – under the effects of stress, then you are not training to fight defensively! Can they maintain group shot four inches at a distance of 21 feet or less? Can effectively neutralize the 3 types of regression? These questions and others, are important factors arrive or not be effective with their shooting skills, or going to do what they affectionately refer to as "spraying and praying!"
3) the retention firearms. Are you prepared for the possibility that the opponent try to take your gun away from you? How about an accomplice to grab the gun when it is trying to control who you thought was their only threat? I always students in my own courses that are crack shots – even those who have trained with the forces up special international and police groups – that "never" considered this area of skill development!
4) disarmament of weapons. This is the flip side, if retention. However, it is necessary to avoid the idea of limiting the training to situations that are armed and are not. Remember – the mere transport of a firearm does not make you invulnerable to enemy fire or security! What if he pulls a gun on you before you go to yours? How to draw your gun in the center of defensive action, rather than before it begins?
Self-defense is all about strategies, tactics and techniques – and not just technical. If we are talking about the defensive use of firearms, other weapons or unarmed self-defense – the way you think about the problem of determining in large part, how you prepare for it.
